Universities and colleges: Textbooks now tax-free thanks to student lobby
While Utah college students probably can count on paying higher tuition next fall, they no longer have to pay sales tax on textbooks and course materials.
Gleason lays off 40, day after tax breaks
Gleason Corp. has confirmed that it laid off 40 workers today, one day after gaining approval from Monroe County for $326,000 in tax breaks.
