House approves property tax bill
A property tax plan is finally reaching the governor's desk for near certain approval after the House failed to agree on deeper tax relief and passed the compromise plan that Republicans walked away from more than a month ago.
Alabama Supreme Court affirms repeal of the old Jefferson County occupational tax
The ruling means that the cash-strapped Jefferson County will not have access to millions collected in occupational tax revenue that has been sitting in escrow.
