Developer suing over tax assessment
MERRIMACK – The developer of a 144-unit apartment complex has sued the town, arguing its property assessment – and thus its tax bill – is too high.
KANNAPOLIS — While city leaders here agree that tax increment financing bonds may be the way to go when paying for infrastructure changes for the North Carolina Research Campus , many residents don't really know what the bonds are and how the proposed district to pay for them was created.
