A Bipartisan Drive for Tax Reform
In an unusual alliance prompted in part by the new Democratic majority in Congress, key Democratic and Republican budget officials are teaming up to push a tax reform agenda that they feel has a good chance in a divided government.
Budget tax cuts 'should be just the start'
Expected tax cuts for business may not be the Budget winner the Government expects, with small businesses feeling left behind, workers looking to cash in, and some already calling for more.
District's budget calls for tax hike
Greencastle residents are looking at a tax hike of between 3.1 and 5.6 mills if the school board approves the current 2005-2006 budget, which shows a nearly $1.3 million gap between revenues and expenditures.
