Bayer profit surges on tax changes; lifts sales estimate
LONDON (MarketWatch) - German pharmaceutical and chemicals giant Bayer reported on Tuesday that third-quarter net income nearly quadrupled due to a change in tax rules, with the inventor of aspirin nudging higher its sales outlook for the year.
