Carbon tax nothing to fear - report
FEARS that petrol and electricity prices will soar when a carbon tax is introduced are unfounded, according to a new report.

Some services cut but others will be costlier TALLAHASSEE Cities and counties across Florida are tightening their belts as they face a state-ordered cut in property-tax collections ranging as high as 9 percent this year.
LISD Considers Nine Cent Tax Decrease
Lubbock ISD wants to lower its tax rate. The current lisd tax rate is $1.65. Thursday, board members recommended lowering the rate to $1.56. That's a nine cent decrease. It's not final yet. Before a vote can be made, there must be a public hearing.
