Activists again propose vote to end income tax
A proposal to abolish the state income tax received a surprising amount of support in the 2002 elections. Now, activists are reviving it, hoping to place it on next year's ballot.

Richard Hatch, the first "Survivor" of the CBS hit reality show, backed out of an agreement to plead guilty to tax fraud for failing to declare his $1 million winnings, the U.S. Attorney's Office said on Thursday.
