Benton council nixes initial A&P tax: Smaller tax plan going to committee
Council had tabled the proposed ordinance earlier this year, opting to study whether to levy such a tax or place a sales tax proposal before voters. Alderman Leroy Allen presented the motion to abandon the original idea during his Finance Committee report Monday night.
