Pennington Gap amends personal property tax ordinance
PENNINGTON GAP - The Pennington Gap Town Council on Tuesday approved, at the request of Town Treasurer Tina Rowe, a new ordinance for its Personal Property Tax Relief Act.
Bills aim to cap 'ungodly' property tax hikes
Unexpected increases in the assessed value of property have hit some homeowners with "ungodly" tax hikes, benefiting government with windfalls that voters have not approved, a House committee was told on Tuesday.
