Greenspan Says Hybrid Tax System Best Reform Route
Scrapping the income tax for a tax on spending would help the economy the most, but stiff opposition means a hybrid system combining elements of both would be the best approach for reform, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said on Thursday.
