MPs criticise road tax collection rates
Rising road tax evasion is not being effectively tackled and is costing the taxpayer ÂŁ214m a year, MPs have said.
Proposal aims to tax illegal drugs
RICHMOND - Chatham Delegate Robert Hurt wants to impose a tax of up to $200 per gram on illegal drugs like marijuana, cocaine and heroin. Hurt, R-Chatham, said the plan could generate $5 million to help state and local law enforcement agencies fight the war on drugs.
