Legislative leaders axe Bush's proposed tax cuts, shift money to schools
TALLAHASSEE · Gov. Jeb Bush's bid for a record-setting year of tax cuts was rejected Thursday by legislative leaders, who say they will instead pour more money into public schools this election year.
NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The federal income tax code took another beating Thursday as Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan echoed the call for a broad overhaul of the current system.
