Obama Defends Criticism Of His Tax Plan
Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama made his case to voters in the battleground state of Virginia Wednesday. He brushed off rival John McCain's accusations that his tax plan amounts to socialism. It was his last full day of campaigning before taking time out to head to Hawaii to visit his ailing grandmother.
Sussex plans to sue tax records provider
The Sussex Village Board has decided to sue its tax records provider over its reported refusal to release property
There appears to be growing sentiment that the state's natural gas sales tax needs to be abolished. The state treasury expects to collect more than $5 million from the tax this year.
