Election Preview: Trinity County Sales Tax
With election day just nine days away, there are several important key items on the ballot that could have an impact beginning as early as next year. In Trinity county, one of those important items is the imposition of a sales tax in order to finance the operations of a special district.
Daniels won't lift gas sales tax by himself
Gov. Mitch Daniels said Friday the notion of suspending the sales tax on gasoline will have to be decided by the legislature, not him.
Five more municipalities are implementing a $52-per-person tax on those who work in their towns. The money has been helping stave off or reduce real estate tax increases.
