Is tax relief hurting schools?
(MILAN, Mo.) Economic growth is a good thing, so many cities and counties provide tax relief for businesses. But that tax relief has caused problems for the Milan C-2 School District.

No one wants a stranger to get a hold of their tax returns that contains personal information.
The annual Sales Tax Holiday is Aug. 15-17 when most clothing and shoes priced less than $100 can be purchased tax free. School backpacks less than $100 also are included in the tax holiday. A list of tax-exempt items can be found at the comptroller's Web site, www.window.state. tx.us/taxinfo/tax
