Battle Brews Over Sales Tax Hike
A battle is brewing over Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks’ proposal to raise the county sales tax by three quarters of a percent. Assemblyman David Gantt, the dean of the Rochester delegation, says he’ll do everything possible to prevent the tax hike from going through.
