Schumer seeks share of any tax on oil profits for school energy costs
WASHINGTON - If the Republican-controlled Congress enacts a tax on excess profits made by oil companies, Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., wants part of the proceeds used to help school districts pay for higher gasoline and heating bills.
